The contact stated while driving 50-55 mph on normal road conditions the vehicle started to shake violently. While approaching the next exit the front passenger side tire blew and the beauty ring and hub cap flew off the tire. The tire was changed. The blown tire is no longer available. There were two new tires purchased and placed on the front of the vehicle. The F front drviver side tire was provided to a friend who place the tire on the rare of the vehicle however it blew on the friends vehicle. One of the two new replacement tires would not balance and the vehicle was taken to an independent service station. The service mechanic could not get the tire to balance so it was replaced. Later while traveling on the interstate the vehicle began to shake voilently. After inspection, the tire was observed to have a shifted steel belt. The manufacturer was contact who determined that they would replace both front tires. All the tires that blew were due to shifted tire belts. The tire size was lt23585R16.

I installed tire chains on my vehicle as permitted in the owners manual. A link on the chain broke because it was rubbing against the leaf springs of the vehicle. The space between the inside of the tire and the outside edge of the leaf springs is approximately 1 inch. This is insufficient to safely run chains on the vehicle. When the chains failed - if they had wrapped around the axle it very likely could have caused the vehicle to become uncontrollable. The manufacturer has referred me to the selling dealer. The selling dealer said they cannot get any guidance from the manufacturer. The selling dealer offered that I use cable chains instead. I bought a set of these and they, too, don't fit without rubbing the leaf springs. The dealer also said that they would honor the warranty if I purchased wheels with more offset (move the centerline of the wheel outboard of the vehicle) but they cannot offer a recommendation from Dodge for an amount of offset. Followups to Dodge have proven fruitless. I am running factory original tires and chains that are sized to fit those tires.

Unable to inflate air in rear inner dualer tire, outer dauler tire must be removed first, before air can be put into tire. Dealer / manufacturer were notified, and unwilling to assist in this matter. Provide any further details on this matter.
