Driving home from a trip at 65mph #4 injector line breaks covers complete truck with diesel. I contacted Dodge with safety concern they say they didn't know about the problem and would take it into consideration for future products. This is problem will kill people now if they are not informed of the problems with there truck and they catch on fire. Dodge and cummings has changed the way the replacement fuel lines are made to stop them from breaking but won't let people know ahead of time that there's could break. There is listing after listing in the internet about this problem and Dodge can't keep up with the amount of replacement lines.

#4 high pressure fuel injector line cracked twice in 4 months. Sprayed diesel fuel all over engine compartment, undercarriage, sides, and up tailgate. Smoke was coming from engine compartment both times. Check www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-powertrain/189520-guys-check-your-4th-injector-line-sticky.html for severity and frequency of the problem. Truck towed to shop both times, parts replaced.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram with a cummings diesel engine. While traveling at speeds of 55 mph, the contact began to smell diesel fuel and within 15 miles of travel, the fuel level indicator fell from one half of the tank to empty. The vehicle lost power and stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who advised the fuel injector had fractured from the fuel pump to the cylinder. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were 119,000.

The next Toyota is in your lap four times now my Dodge truck with a cummings diesel motor has had a fuel line burst and spray fuel all over a hot motor and exhaust pipes. The last time, this resulted in a fire on the underside of the truck that I put out with a fire extinguisher. Dodge claims they know nothing about this problem, yet the cummings diesel forums on the internet have thousands of posts on this problem. www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-powertrain/189520-guys-check-your-4th-injector-line-sticky.html Dodge says they can only sell me a new part >>> cummings says too bad, because they sell their product to Dodge with no warranty >>> I have been stranded on the side of deserted highways four times, the last one with a fire. Some family is going to burn up with this problem, and I will be right there at the congressional hearings with all of my communications. Please help before this leads to death ( if not already ).

I was passing a truck on the highway and when I pushed the throttle to the floor to kick in passing gear, the throttle stuck to the floor and would not release. I kept hitting the pedal but it would not release. I was lucky enough to have a semi clear road ahead of me or it would have been disastrous. I had it towed to a dealership and they could not locate the problem. I took it to a second dealership and was in contact with Chrysler Corp. And opened up a case, case # 18964704 and have been in contact with brandon but nothing has been resolved. This problem happened on Sept. 16, 2009. I did an internet search and found listings of the same problem. I feel this is a serious problem and should be reported. I am looking at trading in the truck at this time because it is such a safety issue. I have only driven the truck 2 times since the incident. Once to the dealership and one time to work. Please help. Chrysler is not returning my phone calls anymore.
