Complete failure of rear differentials - all internal parts destroyed. Ford dealer that repaired vehicle gave no reason for failure. No external damage. Vehicle used normally - no off-road or heavy trailer use. Contacted Ford vice president, not compensation offered. Paid $3K to repair rear end with no dealer warranty. Reason: Not sure why it went out before. Ford stated that due to failure happening 36 months a 14 days after vehicle manufactured - not covered under powertrain warrantee. Contacted BBB, no assistance. Sold Bronco and will never own another Ford product again due to the way I was treated by the company. The dealer that fixed the unit told me that he "felt" it was due to a defect in materials in the rear end - but could/would not put that in writing.
