Ford TSB #SSM 49920
2021 Ford Bronco
TSB Document:
Affected Component: EQUIPMENT
- Summary
- Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with front and rear parking aid sensors may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits if 2 or more rear parking aid sensors/circuits have a concern. This is due to the software within the parking aid module (PAM), and module replacement will not resolve this condition. If the PAM sets DTCs for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits, diagnose the rear parking aid sensor and circuit DTCs first. Reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13A for parking aid diagnostic information. Ford is currently working on a software update that is expected to be available August 2021. The customer can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for October, when software is expected to be available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS confirms software availability.
