I recently purchased a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport brand new, and the vehicle currently has approximately 14,600 miles.

While driving, I made contact with an object on the road that did not feel like a severe impact. However, the result was that the fuel tank was compromised and began actively leaking fuel.

This is extremely concerning to me, as the fuel tank is a critical safety component, and I did not expect it to be damaged so easily under what seemed like a relatively minor impact.

The vehicle had to be towed to a dealership due to the safety risk. I am now dealing with a significant repair for what feels like a disproportionate level of damage given the circumstances.

I understand that road contact can cause damage, but I believe there is a reasonable concern here regarding the durability and protection of the fuel system in this vehicle. A fuel tank failure under these conditions could pose a serious safety hazard.

I am sharing this experience to raise awareness and to see if others have experienced similar issues, as well as to encourage further review of the design and durability of this component.
