I was driving on the highway, when I got a small crack in the windshield on the passenger side. When I was able to stop and inspect the vehicle, there a crack about an inch long. A few hours later after I returned home, I went to retrieve something from the car and noticed the crack had spread to about 6 inches long. I called Ford customer service to make a complaint. I called the dealership a couple of days later and the service department informed it would not be covered under warranty if there is any indication it is something other than a stress fracture. They advised I should file it on my insurance. There is a very tiny chip in the windshield. I am concerned because there are many complaints of cracks in the windshield. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. At this time, I have not taken it to the dealership or had it inspected by insurance representatives. the crack is now about 8 inches long
