C-Max Energi ES 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,994 miles

This is a new car with less than 5k miles on it. It will not keep charged, the electric battery is not charging. Now the brake system needs attention every time I charge it and start it. This is not good business to have a brand new car, that I owe more than its value, falling apart.

C-Max Energi Energi Vs

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,300 miles

First off...I LOVE the cmax. I had a 2014 SEL and at end of lease got the 2016 Energi so I could get HOV access and use very little gas. Great ride, great gas and love the plug in. Never had a problem on anything until went out to start this afternoon and car was dead as a door nail. Wife had driven on electric only about 3 miles to store several days ago. Charged it as usual and for first time, DEAD battery. See where this has happened on 2013 and a few others but thought that was an issue that is solved. I am charging on a trickle charger at the moment but will now monitor. We do not drive the car everyday but just got back from a trip from LA to Las Vegas and back with no issues. Battery should have been fully charged. I am now going to monitor and give update. Of course it is under warranty, but hate taking to dealer...they usually don't help. Was hoping to get input from others who may have same issue.

C-Max Energi SEL 12v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 350 miles

This is the third time my NEW Ford CMax Energi has been found DEAD. I charged the car on the 4th of June, it sat unused from the 5th- 10th, I drove it about 6 miles on the 11th, then discovered it was dead on the 12th when I first tried to drive it that day. I am quite disturbed by this new car not being reliable and I fear driving it anywhere due to not wanting to be stranded as I have no idea why it just isn’t starting and nothing has been found. I am sure Cutter Ford will return the car stating they don’t see why it just died. I am documenting this and don't plan on keeping this lease too much longer!!

C-Max Energi SEL 12v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 162 miles

Really unhappy that my new lease with 162 miles on it was dead again! Ford Roadside was called, a Tow Truck jumped the battery and got it to start. The tow truck towed the car to Cutter Ford, who had it for three days, but reported they could not find out what was wrong with the car.

C-Max Energi SEL 12v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 158 miles

Brand new car not starting was REALLY annoying. I called Ford Roadside who sent out a tow truck who jumped the car. It started so I turned down having it towed to the dealership. The tow truck driver did tell me that FORD stood for Found on Road Dead.
