In 2019 Ford issued a TSB for oil consumption for 2018 -2021 F-150 with 5.0 motor, so why not the 2011 - 2021 F-150 with the 5.0 motor they are all basically the same and that is precisely the issues I had and the dealer told me I needed a new motor. My truck was covered by an aftermarket warranty, the warranty company sent their own inspector to the Ford dealer to evaluate the situation and refused to give me a copy of the report, the warranty company said it was an oil consumption issues and they do not cover oil consumption. The dealer would not allow me to buy a motor and have them install it for me forcing me to take my truck to a trusted repair shop with ASE certified technicians. I bought a new remanufactured (no one rebuilds them anymore) motor from a very large re-manufacturing company, they sent the motor to my repair shop and they installed it and yesterday the very same issue comes up low oil pressure and shut down the motor, I did call the re-manufacturing company and am waiting for a return call.
