This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The contact owns a 2000 Ford E-350. The contact received a recall notice in August of 2007 for the electrical system. The vehicle was taken to a local authorized dealer for repair in November of 2007, but the mechanic stated that there was no recall replacement part available. The contact was consistently calling the dealer to see if the part had arrived, but was informed again that the part had not been manufactured and to call back later. The contact has become very discouraged and does not know if the recall part will ever be manufactured by Ford. He was under the assumption that all the vehicles included in the recall needed the part to warrant the repair service. There had been no failure to date. Updated 6/16/08
