Contact states: 2002 Ford Excursion serious design defect in rear hatch door system. If bottom doors are shut after hatch is lowered, hatch down first and then shut the door very lightly the rear window shattered and crashed to the ground. No warning sticker, but there was directions in the owner's manual. Went to Ford dealer and did not get any results.
When closing the back hatch the tailgate glass shattered without warning. No injuries reported. The dealer was notified. Please provide additional information.
