If you have an Expedition, no matter what the year, and it is running good, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT remove the spark plugs yourself. Especially with the 5.4L engines. Ford TORQUES these spark plugs into the block and when you attempt to remove the plugs yourself, you will either strip the threads or snap the spark plug of in the block. Once that is done, you will either have to have the plug removed by a Ford garage OR have the plug holes drilled out, sleeved and re-threaded due to the damage. If your good at doing it, go ahead, but I have learned from experience and WILL NEVER do it again. I considered myself better than the average backyard mechanic and look where it got me? Pissed off and broke all for nothing except trying to tune it up and make it run better and better gas mileage!
