Electric Seat Heat and Cool feature just quit working. You press any of the front seat heater buttons, hot or cold and the light comes on for a few seconds and then goes out. This happened just out of the blue. I have researched the internet and this appears to be a common problem but I cannot isolate to a fix. There are no error codes given and no way to tell which side is problematic. I have disconnected each seat and still there is no power to either seat heater/ac unit. This is such a great seat feature but trouble shooting and repairing is a major pain.

The first time I used the seat A/C system (passenger side) was over Easter weekend. I noticed after it had been going for about 30 minutes, the back of the seat got hot. I felt in the seat pocket behind the seat and it was very hot. I turned off the air, intending to contact Ford.

A few days later, it happened when I was driving the car. I took it into the dealer. After having my car for 1.5 days, I received a call saying it was a design flaw and couldn't/wouldn't be fixed. The advice given was "don't use the seat A/C." Apparently, they had tested another 2012 Expedition they had on the lot and it did the same thing.

I live in south Texas and one of the reason I purchased the vehicle was for that very option. I'm anxious to see if other 2012 Expedition owners have this same problem.
