The contact owns a 2016 Ford Expedition. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The contact activated the parking brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V150000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle with brake master cylinder and brake booster failure. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed with hydraulic control unit failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact the vehicle was not covered under the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
