The contact states in order to shift the vehicle from the park position, the neutral switch must be manually pressed. This happens every time the vehicle is driven. The dealership said the neutral safety switch has a defect, the part was ordered before the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacture has been contacted; there are not recalls on this vehicle. This vehicle is now out of warranty and has not been repaired.
