We need to form a Class Action Suit on Ford's Window Regulator problem. I have read all the complaints and I see this as a definite Recall Problem. This is a major safety issue for all of us. While driving I thought I was shot at the noise was so loud. This could cause a accident for sure! My LH Rear window fell into door. Now I am waiting for the other one to fall after reading these complaints. What happens if you leave your car anywhere and this occurs? You can bet your car will be stolen or inside property taken. You can bet I will be writing Ford over this problem too!

My mother had both her windows in her car replaced one just last week. First window cost her over $300 just for the regulator not labor at the dealership. Thankful my brother is a mechanic and put the regulator in. Ordered part on the Internet on the second window $217.00. What is going on with these car manufacturers? She has a 2002 Chev Monte Carlo. I found this website and was completely taken away by the number of complaints on this problem with Ford. Now waiting for the new regulator to arrive to install myself. Check out the Internet for your parts and they have installation procedures. A dissatified Ford customer for sure! FORD TOUGH?

My gripe is pretty much the same as everyone else posting about the widows and OUTRAGEOUS (this is the 2nd time form me with the window dropping into the door frame) cost to repair something that cost a few bucks if its the just the window clips that broke or upward of $75+ for a window regulator. Ford has got to know about this reoccurring problem, I called the Ford Manufacturing Customer Service line 1-800-392-3673 (Its on their website) ... NOT A DEALERSHIP and voiced my problem and concern as EVERYONE on here should so they get flooded with complaints that they have to do a recall. COME ON PEOPLE QUIT B*TCHING TO EACH OTHER AND START TELLING FORD!!!! NOT THE DEALERSHIPS BUT FORD THEMSELVES. The dealerships just want the money....

while driving down the road i heard a loud pop in my door and then the window fell down into the door. when i called the ford dealer its going to cost me about 320 dollars to fix it and i think after what people pay for these trucks that is the last thing that should break. if all these peop;e are having problems then fordneeds to step upand recall this malfuctioning pieces of crap.

Fed up with having to repair and replace, Ford knows they have a problem but would rather take the three hunderd dollars plus and ignore the public. They told me at the dealership they had a few complaints, check the web site on this issue. I've seen more than a few. Two window thus far, both times the vechile was parked and locked, to my surprise I come out and find the windows down, First time, thought it was my bad luck. Now I know better. Come on Ford, you know it's junk.

This is my 6th power window regulator failure. Each time its $350.00. That's about 5 additional car payments made to Ford to fix a "known non-safety issue".

Hey Ford, really nice of you to charge more for four doors when you can't make a decent window regulator. You should be giving away the four doors. My back window hasn't been up and down more than twenty times since my truck was new. Thank God the window didn't break while Jake my 10 year old nephew was trying to figure out what the hell was going on in the back seat. You think I'm gonna buy a Ford truck next time? HEY FORD ! ! ! the kids are sitting in the back seat you cheap skates. Hope you fired the idiot engineer that designed that one or, maybe that was your plan at $470 plus to repair. I've heard that what goes around comes around. I really had high hopes for your company after that last rough patch, not anymore.

First of all the window switch went out, it cost $75.00 to buy it, I installed it myself, then I went to lower the driver's side window, it went down and made a loud noise and never came back up, to the person in Tennessee, if you can contact as many people as you can and I will do the same, and if we can get $25.00 to $100.00 apiece, I will try to find a lawyer to file a class action law suit against FORD!!!

Update from Jun 23, 2010: I am still trying to figure out what broke. I notified the NHTB and told them this is a safety problem and it needs to be look into. I think we all go back to the old saying ( FORD ) FIX OR REPAIR DAILY.

Ford needs to recall a few things. 1st the window regulators, if so many people are having problems(as am I) then they should do something about it.

2nd the 4wd issue with the buzz saw noise, and clunking. this was a quick fix for $25.00 but may have caused perm. damage to system

3rd fuel injectors, I have had to have these replaced now three times within the last 20k miles (luckly under warranty)

THE FORD DEALERSHIP ADMITS THAT THESE PROBLEMS ARE COMMON AND MANUFACTURING ISSUES, BUT NO RECALLS ARE ISSUED... NOTHING LIKE SPENDING 35K ON A TRUCK AND THOUSANDS FIXING MANUFACTURE DEFECTS.

I think we should all get together and file an CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT if ford wont own up to their end of the bargain!

This is a sorry, sorry ford truck. Driver's window had been hanging up, difficult to raise and lower. While driving this a.m. heard a pop in the door and window dropped inside the door. Also heard a grinding noise. Hate to see inside and don't know what to expect. This truck is a joke. Top $ for a piece of junk. My son also experienced this window problem on his 2001 king ranch. Toyota is looking better and better. Doesn't look like ford is going to wake up. They should issue a recall for these windows.

2005 Ford F150 Driver window fell down into the door with a loud bang sound. This is the third window on this truck and it only has 35,000 miles on it! I have fixed two others already this is the third time.It is a real safety hazard in my opinion. I was driving and the window slammed down and I jumped. Had I been on the interstate going fast it could have been deadly. Ford needs to recall this item, as in my opinion, it is a matter of protecting the public health safety and welfare. Ford must step up to the place on this~!!!

Got home last night and with this awesome weather we are having in TN, I was riding will all the windows down on my 05 F150 KR Screw. Went to roll the windows up and heard a scrapping thump noise from the rear driver's side door. Rolled down the window and rolled it up again and the same noise, only this time the window didn't roll up all the way and then started sliding back down into the door! I hit the switch again and can hear the motor inside working so that's not the problem. After taking off the door panels and other crap ford has stuck in the way, I realized that the cables are all out of wack and that the cable lines are twisted and mangled. After reading all the complaints from other Ford owners, why on earth won't Ford fix this!?!?! Or at least give some kind of discount to the solution since they know its a problem. After reading this and other complaints about the price I'm going to have to pay to get my spark plugs changed on this truck, I don't think I will ever buy Ford again! This company has really gone to the dogs. My dad has a 08 F-450 that has been in the shop at least 10 times this year, they are not charging him because its still under warranty but that truck is his livelihood and they are wasting his time and keeping him from making money! Ford needs to step up and take care of their customers if they want to continue having any.

I put up the window turned off the ignition and heard a thump alooked and the window had fallen into the door!

Called the Ford dealer who said it was a 2-3 hour fix.

I am out of town on business and have to take time t do this tomorrow because I can't drive 8 hours back home with no drivers side window. Then to add insult to injury I find out this is not an unusual problem???? My story sounds exactly like hundreds of others, I have owned /leased 7 Fords and I am loyal to the brand but this is just not right!

Update from Apr 7, 2010: Went to dealer this morning, very helpful but sadly they were only too aware of the problem!

The cost was not as high as I expected it did take several hours to fix

Same as all the other post. Rolled the window up, something popped and the window fell all the way down. Now riding around with plastic taped to the door of this $40,000 truck. Not good for potential F150 customers to see, I'd say. One thing I want to add, I have two friends with Ford Expeditions that the same thing has happened.

while driving, the driver door window started sliding down into the door frame---while looking for reliable auto repair shop, the passenger side window did the same thing, now with the expense of 2 windows---FORD'S--- cost to fix started at $300.00 to $600.00, a back window went out. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A truck payment and cost for repairs, the window are propped up with wood and wire. Thought Ford make a tough truck, but I

guess with wimpy window gear.
