I paid paid upwards of 40 thousands dollard for My then Brand New Ford F1-50,. silver fourdoor, lifted , truck. It was the truck of my dreams. I first started to have an issue with the paint peeling away in the bed of the truck about 5 or six years in, I figured I would just have a spray line put in when I could afford it to deal with the problem. Fast forward to 7 yrs now the paint is literally bubbling and peeling off in huge pieces off the back can of my truck, Whats next??!!!!!and there is some rusting already showing and some peeling and rusting on the top drivers side!!!!!!The dealership says they have never seen anything like this before, BUT! Fordes Paint warranty is only good for 1-3 yeras, so they would expect me to pay for the problem, they could paint the back cab, That is just putting a bandaid on an already bad paint job from the factory!!!!!! Ford customer service says thewre is nothing they can do, Im on my own. I use my truck as a luxury car, it is only driven 7,000 miles a year, it is not a commuter car, it might be lifted but is definatly not doing any fourwheeling. I love my cars to be pretty and nice, not paint peeling looking like it is 20 years old. Fords MO is always just to say why dont you trade your car in!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Is this the best I can expect from ford, I need to trade my car in every 7 years baecause it is going to start looking like CRAP!Some of us dont have that luxury. I have never owned a car in all my years that the paint job has done this.

From the ford factory they did not paint under the doors very good and the door jams. You can see threw to the primer. I looked at 5 other new f-150's and found them to be the same. Woodhouse Ford in Blair, Ne. was going to fix it but said I would have to pay for 1/2 of the rental for 2 days while they fixed it. The truck was only 2 weeks old and less then 2000 miles on it. I should not have to pay for anything on a brand new truck. If you bought a new Ford truck, look under the doors, door jams, and under the door jams. This is very poor workmanship from Ford Motor Co. If they can't paint there vehicles any better then that, then they will never sell me another vehicle.
