The incident took place on an exit on interstate (I-610 loop South in houston). My son came to a stop when car in front stopped abruptly. This is when my son was rear ended by 2016 F-250 that was towing horse trailer. This pushed my son's truck into the car in front. Impact completely buckled my son's truck bed and damaged the front and the inside cabin. Both the front seats broke (back reclining portion snapped backward) plus neither airbags inflated from the impact. So my question is why would the front seats snap backwards (is it design flaw?) and why didn't the airbags inflate from the impact to the car in front? from the damage to all the vehicles involved you can see that it was a very hard impact.

I have had problems with rotors since I bought truck in 09', a month or 2 after I bought it I had rotors changed and then every 3 to 4 months after that. My front wheels are black after 2 weeks of driving. I have never pulled a trailer with this truck and this truck has been used lightly. Also after 12 years old, mechanic told me yesterday I have a year or 2 before my frame is going completely rusted thru and be dangerous to drive.

While the truck was parked on level ground in a parking lot, I noticed what a appeared to be a hole rusted through the drivers side frame. Further investigation revealed that there were several large holes beginning in front of the rear wheel and extending to about the middle of the cab. These holes are all the way through, (both sides of the rail), on both sides of the truck. See attached pictures. I feel this significantly compromises the integrity of the frame and makes it less safe to operate. I am also very surprised to see so much corrosion on an 11 year truck. This has been reported to the dealer that sold me the truck 5 years ago, to Ford Motor Co., and to the better business bureau. None of these attempts have resulted in any action. I'm sure mine is not the only F150 with this problem and I want to make sure the word gets out.

My vehicle is only 11 years old. I have an issue with the frame. The frame on my vehicle has rust holes on the left hand inner side. I believe there is a manufacturing issue in the metalwork for the frames on 2004-2008 F150 trucks. I work as a service technician and multiple vehicles have this issue. We as consumers should not be having to cover the costs of repairing these unsafe frames due to Ford negligence to build the frames properly. Due to this, any vehicle with frame issues such as mine, if involved in a wreck, could be catastrophic. I have seen countless F150's of those year ranges come in with frames rotted all in the same place at the rear of the main frame rail, near the gas tank. 2009 and forward do not seem to have this issue as they changed the design of the frame. Something needs to be done about these frame issues.pictures attached are of various F150's, not just my own.

Additionally, the contact was informed that the front driver's door would also experience the failure. Several months later, the door lock mechanism on the front driver's door fractured. 2908 Ford F-150 frame corrosion. Dec 2016 took truck to local tire repair facility. They advised vehicle was not safe due to corrosion of truck frame. Truck is a Ford F-150 2008 with approximately 80K miles. They advised not to drive long distances or pull anything. I took it back to dealership where I bought vehicle in Sept 2015 and they have not been helpful. I have also tried to contact Ford who only states truck is out of 36,000 mile warranty.

The passenger front upper door hinge is cracking on my 2008 Ford F150. The hinge is cracking on the back side. The crack would open up as the door is being shut from the wide open position. Ford Motor Company claims this is from abuse or wind damage. If this crack were from wind damage the crack would be on the face of the hinge and would wider as you force the door past wide open. The door hinge is a critical component as the door would not be able to open or close properly once it breaks completely in two. The service writer told me it was a problem they have seen before and up until now they have agreed to repair these under warranty. My truck is only 2 years old with 23,000 miles. It is still covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. Ford Motor Company is now trying to avoid repairing structural defects in the trucks.

I own a 2008 Ford F150 with 12,000 miles. Bought the truck brand new in Feb 08. With only 453 miles on the truck I noticed many paint defects : the paint under the hood was blistering off, the paint on the pillar behind the drivers side rear door was messed up, Ford fixed these issues then shortly after that I had more blistering paint under the hood and a haze on the drivers side front fender. Then one day as I am washing the truck I notice the paint is bubbling on the passenger side doors.
