I had a Dodge Ram and then decided to go with Ford. What a mistake Even a Ford dealer couldn't fix it. So now I may go back to Dodge or Toyota because Ford wants to sell me a new one, rather than fix this one. Why the hell would I want another one? My Dodge had 200002 miles on it when I traded in and Dodge never had me the run around. Ihad the transmission done at no cost to me. I wish Ford would treat their customers like that.

F-150 XLT 4.7L

  • Automatic transmission

The issue presented itself while the truck was under warranty. I brought it to the dealership and they "wiped the Codes", then attempted to recreate the issue because it didn't "throw a code". It then happened four times since, I took pictures of my dash when it has happened and last week it was as if the truck was stuck in 1st gear. This issue has happened multiple times and it is becoming a concern for my family.

I love Ford trucks and have never encountered any type of problems like this. I am trying to get it in the shop and contacting Ford Customer Care to ensure that I am not charged for this as it started happening before the truck went out of warranty.

F-150 XLT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,243 miles

Transmission would bang shift occasionally going through the gears and would violently drop into 1st gear at high speeds. Dealer could not find problem said electronic transmissions has to learn driver habits. Told him we have a 2005 Ram with 130,000 miles on it and a learn transmission that has never done anything like this. Said different drivers confuse transmission (really??). Dealer did note loose rear u-joint and replaced and a leaky rear pinion seal. Transmission now has failed while towing trailer filled with wood. Towed to dealer, noticed 2 other F150's with transmissions out. Waiting for new transmission.
