I was driving up north on 75 and I had vehicle on cruise control set at 75mph and all of a sudden, the truck whiplashed me and lost all power. I was scared. Especially on the expressway, about 1.5 hours away from home. I pulled over and took a look at the bottom of the truck and there was smoke coming from the transmission. I called the dealership to tell them about it and they said that they couldn't do anything about it because they are so swamped with people coming in with issues with their vehicles. I made an appointment and that was around the beginning of December 2022.
Total Loss of Power to the vehicle, Hard shifting, slipping gears, and takes forever for the transmission gauge to show warm, sometimes it takes a half hour for it to show warm even after sitting, warming up.
I brought the vehicle into the dealership because it was also experiencing loss of transmission fluid which I can't check because it is enclosed. There was a lot of loss of fluid, and nobody could tell me where it is going.
Ultimately, I want the transmission fixed especially it is still under warranty and payment for the stress of having a vehicle which I can't trust. I work with this vehicle every day and can't even put a load in it because I'm scared of it falling apart.
$60,000 truck. Hey still want their payments for the vehicle!
Nothing but stress, and worry about if I'll get stranded somewhere.
"Built Ford Tough" I think not. Change that false advertising I want my money back
