The temperature resets from a standard 21deg to 20deg. If adjusted to anything other than 21deg, when you next start the vehicle it shows the temp as 'L' or turns the fan to full throttle. I have 2 mobiles programmed in via Bluetooth and the system re-syncs from the default mobile to the other one. After terminating a call, when I next turn the vehicle on it says I am still 'in call' - it has even tried to call back the last IN-COMING call.
The 'S' (pre-set Overspeed amount) on the dash display turns itself off. The pre-set display of 'range to empty' re-sets and says Overspeed is Off. While putting the key into the ignition I accidentally hit the door lock button on the key fob (driver's side door was open). While the vehicle emitted the 2 beeps, it also turned the radio off and changed my pre-set 'range to empty' display to say Overspeed is Off. The pre-set display of showing speed in kilometers per hour was also re-set to another format. One of the times I returned the vehicle, the electrician organized for me to leave my headlights on and stop and start the ignition a few times. While this was being undertaken, the Overspeed turned off, the radio turned off, the temperature reset to 20deg and the Bluetooth tried to call back the last in-coming call number.
The vehicle has been re-set to the Ford factory settings and yet all of the above continue to occur. I have had no update from the dealer and contacted Ford service direct. The Ford service rep liaised with the dealer and I still got told the same thing - Ford is working on the Overspeed issue and they hope when that is resolved that everything else will be fixed as well. I may be a female but this does not gel with me. I even spoke to dealerships in Sydney and they advise they have never had a single complaint regarding the electronics on the XR6 - so does that mean I have a lemon. Well I finally put that to the dept of fair trading yesterday and I am waiting on a response.
