While I have driven many miles in my car, I don't feel that a 3 year old radio should overheat to the point of risking a fire. I have followed all of the manufacturer's suggested maintenance procedures. The price quoted to me to replace is more than double of what my husband says the part is worth.
Ford should step up and replace the radio for free if they wish to retain my business as a Ford owner. If nothing is done on Ford's part, I will suggest that all of my friends and family purchase another car. I was terrified to discover the fire hazard caused by my radio. I pay cash for my vehicles and feel that my money means nothing to this ogre of a car company!!!
