The 1.4 diesel uses fuel at the rate of a 3.5 litre v6 petrol motor. average of 9.8 litres per 100km from new. That equates to 10.20km per litre. on a 45 litre tank I was getting near on 450km, for a diesel! I have driven other brands that give 18km/litre out of a 1.4cc diesel plant.
Ford SA state this is standard.
I have a friend that has a pre-facelift 1.4 tdci Figo from 2010 that runs with double the performance and an average consumption of 17.5km/litre.
It is very frustrating when both the manufacturer and the selling dealer treat clients as if their clients are ignorant when complaining about their vehicles.
