Takata recall - there was a recall on our vehicle airbag officially June F 2016. We recached out to a local Ford dealership prior to that date (around April of 2016) and they stated they couldn't do anything since the recall had yet been announced. Its now almost 2 years later and we are just receiving notice that no one should be riding in the vehicle's passenger seat. The notice states if someone rides in the passenger seat, and the faulty airbag malfunctions, the person can be killed or injured. When we called Ford again, they stated they still did not have parts to complete fix. This is a major issue since we carpool with multiple people. The for dealership also stated they couldn't supply a rental car.

"takata recall" I received a letter from Ford one year and a half ago stating that my passenger airbag was defective. They stated that it was a serious issue that can cause death or serious injury. Thwy said they would send out letters soon to fix the problem and I waited for months and I did not receive anything from them. I called and Ford kept me on hold making it impossible to speak to a live person. I filed a complaint and they finally sent me a response. The letter states that the repairs have been delayed. When will they fix this? this is a serious matter. Please do something about this.

Takata recall I received a recall notice more than a year ago but have yet to receive an official notice that the parts are available and an appointment can be made. I continually call the Ford dealerships in my area and I'm continually told it's a "preliminary recall" and the parts aren't available. If this product is defective and dangerous, I shouldn't be made to driver for more than a year with unsafe components.
