I tried entering my car after church and the windows would not go down, radio would not turn on, locks would not work (car was just unlocked even though I used my key prior to lock it), and the air/heat controls would not work. The last couple of days in Michigan have been quite hot but this day it was close to 93 degrees and it felt like a sauna in my car. I have two young kids that I Transport in my car and with the hot weather and no ability for windows to go down or air to be turned on we could basically suffocate. I even waited until the next day (06/12/2017) and the car issues are still present: Locks not working, windows not working, radio not working, air not working, and all dash controls not working, and today my key controls (lock, unlock, and alarm) would not work. Even when I started the car this morning to take the kids to school nothing worked so we were in a hot car for about 20 minutes to get them to school before the real hot weather starts.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that an independent mechanic inspected the vehicle. The dealer (mullinax Ford of kissimmee 1810 E irlo bronson memorial hwy, kissimmee, fl 34744 407-846-6000) diagnosed the vehicle and replaced the alternator assembly, transmission, battery, and drive train. In addition, the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V875000 (seat belts) and a manufacturer's extended service campaign to address a failure concerning modules for the accessory protocol interface module. The dealer indicated that the parts had been unavailable for months concerning the recall. The contact was to check to verify the extended service campaign because the dealer made no mention. The manufacturer was notified of the contact's concerns. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I picked my daughter up and started the car. The radio was blasting. I couldn't turn it down. The air conditioner wouldn't come on. There was a message on the display panel warning of "temporarily lost communication with the climate system". when this happens the check engine light comes on, the air conditioning stops working, the windows will not roll down, the touch screen does not work, and the radio cannot be adjusted. Locks on doors are also frozen. Seats will not adjust. We are basically trapped inside the car with no air. It was 95 degrees outside and there was no air flow. This is very dangerous. Both my kids were with me. This happens when car was stationary and in motion.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the sync my ride system in the vehicle had been illegally hacked and caused the traction control and transmission to malfunction. Also, the contact indicated that the vehicle failed to accelerate when depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who reset the sync my ride feature, but the failures continued. The dealer indicated that the hacker overrode the administrator password in order to hack into the system. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,000.

2014 Ford Fusion SE, the trunk will open its' own, usually when I unlock the vehicle via the integrated keypad and, occasionally when using the key fob remote. The vehicle has also popped the trunk while unattended, while no effort to unlock the trunk was being made, by any means. This means that the vehicle is rendered unsecured, by its' own defect.

Car repeatedly over a period of 18+ months experiences intermittent electrical failure that results in windows, locks, radio, fans, dash lights to stop working. There is no pattern to the failures. I have been stuck in 90 degree weather on the highway unable to even roll down a window and no moving air due to fans being out. Car has been in to 2 different Ford dealerships and kept there for weeks at a time with no resolution.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. While reversing the vehicle from within the garage, it hesitated and stalled several times. The contact was unable to determine when the failure would recur. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than twice, but they were unable to replicate and diagnose the failure. In addition, the contact was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V875000 (air bags), but was uncertain as to when the manufacturer would supply the parts to the dealer. The contact was waiting for the manufacturer to determine a solution to prevent the failure. The manufacturer had not yet established a recall nor a service campaign to provide a remedy. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The headlights do not provide adequate lighting at night. When driving at night the lights dim as you increase speed. I have gone to two dealerships both telling me they are "fine" "nothing wrong". I have complained to Ford Corp about this issue but they do nothing to help remedy the situation. Drivers side lighting cluster will not keep lights for more than a year before I have to replace the light bulbs. I haven't had to replace the passenger side lightbulbs more than once in comparison. On top of that the sync system has had issues from about month three of ownership. They have replaced part of the computer but now have no idea what is wrong. It is "normal" for my A/C and heat to take control of itself and change with me having no way to control it. The heated seats will turn on by themselves, the power windows do not work when this happens, and my bluetooth will not stay connected to my phone. I have spoken to two dealerships about these issues and once again "it is fine" "nothing is wrong". apparently this issue leaves no problem code to give a place to start for repair. I have video taped it and still they can find nothing wrong with the system. It is becoming hot here now and this all seams to be a health risk for myself and passengers. All of this tends to happen when driving at any speed and any time of day. I have a hard time believing that "everything is fine/normal" with the car.

The O2 sensor has burnt out, & has been burnt out for a while. After refueling at any gas station the vehicle will not start up immediately after the key is turned. It takes several attempts to get the engine to recieve fuel & to turn over, and even then it struggles to start up or keep running. I have tried different patterns of pressing the gas pedal, alternating pressure & time without finding a reliable method. The vehicle has turned off if I do not keep the mph above 15mph for at least 10 minutes, & if I stop for longer than 60seconds, it sometimes turns off. This has caused issues in light traffic, especially with the difference in speed between my car shutting off & coasting, & cars passing at 25mph or greater. The dealership refuses to acknowledge that the O2 sensor has issues, but my personal mechanic had confirmed the issue after I had the vehicle inspected at a branch of the automotive repair chain midas. After having the sensor replaced at meineke in Sept 2016, it burnt out again in October 2016. Attached is the repair reciept which we finally found today while packing for our move.

Complete electrical power failure due to persistent drain on battery. After jumpstart, car was operational; however, there is intermittent failure when the car is not in use for 24 hours. Intermittent hard fault with dtc P0887 in sobdmc (secondary on board diagnostics model C). Below are a subset of dtc codes: Dtc module B10D7:87 BCM B1287:11 BCM P0887:00 sobdm-C P1934:87 BCM P1A10:00 BCM U0140:00 pscm U3001:00 becm U3003:13 pscm U3003:16 becm U3003:16 BCM there is limited coverage by the manufacture (post 36K miles) and the consumer is responsible for the extensive diagnostics and repair. The complexity of the plug in hybrid car and the current service model are inconsistent. This is a bigger problem than most recognize.

At the end of July while driving the vehicle the entire climate control system shut down and the display read "temporarily lost communication with the climate system. I was driving on 45 mph roads and had just pulled up to a red light. The car was still running with the radio on but I was unable to adjust the volume up or down or turn the radio off. The A/C had shut off along with the fan and none of the buttons worked. Also could not roll down the power windows from the divers seat, all the buttons and screen were frozen. Turned the car on and off multiple times over the next 24hrs but system would not re-set. The following day the system re-set when I started the car. Took the car to the dealership and they could not find any trouble codes. Called Ford Motor Co. And they said that they had never encountered this problem and could offer no assistance if no trouble code was found even though the car is still under the warranty period. Not having A/C, heat, or the defroster I believe could place me or my family in a very difficult if not dangerous situation. This is the second time I have experienced this problem. Please let me know if anyone else has reported a similar issue.

My 2014 Ford Fusion's door/window controls will stop working and the climate control will not work either. It occurs sporadically. I do live in Arizona where temperatures can get exceedingly hot. I have brought my car into the dealership (as early as the 2nd/3rd day of ownership) several times without any resolution. It's gotten to the point that I purchased a special tool to break the car window. This can cause a death. My son and I were in this predicament we couldn't do anything we started to sweat really bad and get red. Thankfully I had water in the car. After several attempts of turning the car off and on several times the system woke up. I rolled the windows down and purchased the window breaking tool. This has occurred while in motion and stationary, on city streets and highways.

Battery was initially not taking a charge, they said it was a defective module and replaced both the module and the rear back up camera which they said was draining the battery. In this case they had the car for 2 1/2 weeks before returning it to me.. about 4 days after I got it back the car started shuddering during a reverese position in a parking lot and died.. it started right up again.. the next day it lost all acceleration at a lower speed in stop and go traffic, once again it died but started right up again. It did this two more times once on the freeway the other time down the street from my home. Ford has had the car for 5 days (since 2/19/2016) now and says there is no codes or have been able to duplicate the problem..

The information display on my 2014 Ford Fusion blacked out while I was driving in December, 2015. The warranty had expired. The car had approximately 48,000 miles when this occurred. I took it to the service department at the Ford dealer where I had bought the car. I paid $99.95 to have the problem diagnosed. I was told that it needed a gateway module that would cost approximately $300, but the $99.95 would go towards that cost. When the part came in and installed, the problem still existed. The service department had told me that the gateway module may not fix the problem. I was told that the instrument cluster would have to be replaced. The cost would be $707 and the shop would need my car for two days. I also would need to bring all my keys for the programming. This all seems to be a steep price to fix a display panel that I use only for an odometer and sometimes for trip mileage. I saw on the service bulletin no. Asi-44742 that other 2013-2014 Ford Fusion have the same problem and these cars need the instrument panel cluster replaced due to programmable module installation. I have not had the cluster replaced because the part has to be special ordered. I wanted to see if there were other options. Thank you for your help.
