Sometimes halfway or completely my back up camera will go black and leave and error message. This is everytime I back up, has been happening since August 2020.
Right rear door lock does not remain locked, even when car is in motion. You are able to unlock and open the door from the inside when vehicle is in motion. This happens on city streets at 30 mph or going down the highway at 55 mph. First noticed in March 2020, but ongoing. My grandson sits in the rear in his car seat and had on several occasions he can open the door, while driving down road.
Intake manifold cracked! my car is 2 months past warranty and Ford isn't willing to help me out. They have 2 other cars in for the same service repairs in waconia mn right now! the car shook/vibrating when I stared it.
I leased a used vehicle on 6/5 and was kept there till autoplaza's closing time at 7 so when I finally left the car lot I realized while driving on the highway that there was no horn. I called when they reopened on 6/6 to schedule it to be fixed which they agreed to have it ready by 6/8, unfortunately while driving on the highway that same afternoon on 6/6 the cars engine died and I managed to coast the car off the highway into a random parking lot. I immediately called the sales man and I quote he said 'it's more than likely the alternator and that he was already tracking me on gps' so I was told to lock the keys in the car and it would be towed back to the dealership to be ready by 6/8. fast forward to the afternoon of 6/8, I call the dealership a hour before getting off work at 3:30pm to verify it would be ready by 5 and to my surprise I was told they were unsure if they had the car to begin with and was put on hold till the phone call dropped from their end. I called back again and was met with a voicemail so I left it alone and tried to get information again on 6/10. This time the sales man said it wasn't his problem and to call the office for service but after being forwarded to voicemail multiple times I demanded to speak with a manager. I tell the manager I'm aware it's illegal to sell a car without a horn and that I've been duped so I want my money back and his answer was no that he already received money from a bank on my behalf. I told him he had till the end of 6/10 to give me a answer on when it would be ready or I would get a lawyer so his answer was no matter what he would call me by 5pm that day with a status update but he never called. Since then I've been unable to get any straight answer or even a manager on the phone and it's been almost 3 weeks. I have a payment due from them for $250 every 2 weeks which is due tomorrow but I blocked the payments.
Ford Fusion having a coolant leak into the engine. I've heard from multiple people having the same issue & now I'm having the same problem after only having my Fusion for two years & still making payments. Car makes a sloshing noise in dashboard when accelerating, turning or braking & car overheats due to coolant leaking into engine & having to constantly refill coolant.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited multiple failures. The vehicle lost power independently and the brake pedal failed to engage while driving. Also, after fueling the vehicle, the engine failed to start. Furthermore, when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was taken to elk grove Ford (9645 auto center drive, elk grove, ca 95757, (916) 478-7000) where it was determined that the windshield wiper fluid penetrated the brake fluid. The brake lines, calipers, and the battery were replaced twice; however, the repairs did not correct the failures and the vehicle continued to stall. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failures. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was not available.
On many occasions my cars main battery has completely drained. Something in the car keeps draining the battery for no reason all essentials are completely turned off that I am aware. In all cases the car was parked for periods of time. My wife went on a business trip came back after two weeks to find her car at lot dead..she managed to get a jump from someone. This was during Minnesota winter. Car left in garage for summer while took other car on a trip for a few weeks only to come back where car was dead again. Managed to get it recharged. Again car left in garage for longer period about 3 months as wife was on disability. Car again was found dead and was unable to recharge as my charger indicated battery was bad. Car under warranty. Towed to where purchased, said battery was bad. I informed them this has happen several times and apparently battery was not under same warranty. Battery replaced out of my pocket. Car went back into storage again. Again battery died. Took in again and I asked they conduct a through test as something keeps draining the battery. I also went out to charge the battery about every two weeks. But eventually my charger tagged the battery as bad again. They replaced again no charge. But they said were not able to find anything. After home this time I charged every week and when I do the battery shows it has drained anywhere from 30% - 40% each week. I need someone to intervene with Ford as I do not drive the car as much now and this is concerning as now is my only vehicle and warranty ends soon. Car was serviced each time at midway Ford 2777 N snelling, roseville, mn 55113 (844) 338-7004. I don't have other details at this time. All records are with dealership of service. The exact dates are unknown as did not realize this would become a long term constant problem. I see that NHTSA id numbers 10733369 & 10871542 are similar to my case.
I was in motion driving not long after I got my car which is still pretty new. While driving I tried to accelerate and it wouldn't accelerate. After mashing the petal all the way down the car was still moving at the same speed then like 3/4 secs later it jerked and started to accelerate. I thought it may need a tune up so I went and got that done but it's still doing it. I was on a city streets going straight.
My climate control will stop working, I have no control over anything on my touch screen or bottom part of screen where you control temp. When this is happening the windows lock and only have control of the drivers side window. I have had this into the repair shop probably 8 times. They have replaced the same part 3 times.
Moved my transmission from drive to park and it got stuck in park. Tried to move it back to drive but transmission wouldn't shift. In car the transmission shifts to drive but it doesn't move
The trunk of my 2015 Ford Fusion will open without notice. It first happened while in my garage, but has also happened while driving down the road, which made it difficult to see out the back window. When back in my garage I turned the car off. Within a few minutes the trunk opened on its own. When I went to check to see if I could figure out what was going on, I could hear the trunk release 'triggering' automatically. This random trunk opening occurred both when the car was in motion and stationary in the garage.
As I was driving on highway doing 55 mph, my Ford fusin 2015 wrench light came on and seat belt light along with car loosing power. Power dropped down to under 20mph and had to place emergency blinkers on to pull over to side of highway barely made it. Taken to dealership no codes were found to indicate the problem and could not be duplicated. Battery was replaced due to next day the battery was dead. 2 weeks later, while driving on the street going 35 mph same issue occurred. The RPM reved up and dropped down along with wrench light and seat belt light coming N. back to the dealership no codes stored to indicate the issue. This is very scary to lose power while driving and may cause an accident or even death. There are alot of complaints regarding this matter, you would think Ford would do something about it, unfortunately nothing has been done yet. Maybe someone has to be dead for them to take it into consideration. I'm going to purchase a Chevy!! be safe everyone!!!
Vehicle shut off without warning, notice on monitor said "transmission not in park" this happened 3 times within a 10 minute period. The first time I was accelerating coming from a stopped position while at a stop light. The two occurrences following that the vehicle was in motion.
Takata recall. Car sputters as if running out of gas before stalling. Happens sometimes after driving a few hundred feet and other times after being driven for miles. Idles fine in park or neutral. Engine light doesn't come on. Computer shows no codes. When recranking, engine turns over several times and cranks without key being held in on position. This repeats a few times and then car drives fine. Has happened while stationary, in motion, and turning. Always at low starting speeds.
My 2015/Ford Fusion is halted in neutral but the gearshift is stuck in park and I can't move it. It happened after I pulled into my parking spot and shifted the gearshift to park. I noticed the light indicator did not go to P but rather stayed at N and when I took my foot off the brake the car started moving. I have my vehicle's emergency brake on in order to prevent it from moving but due to the time of day Ford in my area are closed and cannot offer help. My vehicle does have a safety recall for this exact issue and I attempted to get it fixed in August along with another recall but the dealership told me they were backed up on the parts to fix this issue and that they would notify me when they had the parts.
My vehicle makes a noise while driving and this noise comes from the gas tank. It is like a honk sound. To stop the sound, I have to stop the vehicle, open the gas tank and let the air/pressure inside the gas thank out. The smell is some kind of burnt engine or wire. After I have let the air/pressure out, engine warning light turns on for few hours and goes off. There are lots of customers with this same issue and reported this issue. Informed this issue to Ford and they asked me to get diagnostics done on the vehicle and call them back. I did get the diagnostics done on the vehicle, technician said that there is a problem with the canister purge valve and he explained me something about the pressure which I couldn't understand. So I called Ford back and informed them that this is the issue and asked them to help me with it. They said they cant do anything because it had nothing to do with any recall program or any rebate program active based on the given mileage. I begged Ford to please check online that there are so many customer with the same complaint. The supervisor said she cannot do anything. I am requesting NHTSA to please do an enquiry on this issue and help the people who are suffering. Thank you.
Ford currently has a recall on 2013-2016 Ford Fusion (safety recall 18S20/NHTSA recall 18V471) where the transmission cable becomes disconnected from the transmission causing the auto to roll. When the cable is disconnected the vehicle can be in park from the thinks its in neutral. My Fusion was parked in my driveway rolled backwards down my drive and down my street and in and out of neighbor's driveways. When I tried to intervene and stop the vehicle, I was knocked down and the vehicle ran over my leg. When the vehicle was stopped the vehicle was in park but the dashboard showed in neutral.
