In general the car was good for 9.5 years however this problem of a completely locked steering came very unexpected and started in winter when it was cold like 10 -20"C . Based on the low km 95000, no accident , under 10 years of ownership one would expect some help / participation from Ford because this is a well known & documented problem . Unfortunately two dealers and Ford Canada denied any claim based on the VIN number. It would be a good customer relations policy the help e.g. with the obscene expensive steering rack . I have a mint 65 Mustang Convertible for over 45 years and considered myself a loyal Ford customer however after this experience my next car will definitely not be a Ford. When I wrote twice to Ford Canada's goodwill service department I got one reply. The second e-mail still remains unanswered . I guess one should not expect such basic decency from Ford .
