The contact owns a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated while driving approximately 50-70 MPH, the vehicle shook violently while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the front CV axles were replaced under warranty. However, three months after the CV axle repair, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the CV axles were on backorder. The manufacturer was later notified of the failure and the contact was informed that parts were available; however, the part was no longer covered under warranty. The contact was provided an estimate to cover half the cost of the repair. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
CV joints failing. 61k miles and getting a shaking front end wheel driving. A failure could cause an accident or other safety odor for the drivers and others. I-??ve seen many reports of the same failures but no recalls yet. Ford should take care of this issue.
I have a 2022 ford maverick pickup truck and have a vibration in steeling wheel at acceleration so I took it to a very reapable tire, brake and suspension dealer who checked the brakes, tires, balance, steering joints etc and found nothing wrong and said he had no clue what it could be and no Ford Recall issued but web sites show other customers with same problem and dealers are not wanting to completely check out because of no Recall please help us!!!
My truck shakes like a bad washing machine with an uneven load at 50mph+ only while accelerating. While turning it squeals. I have a hybrid and have not done any off-roading. All my miles are from highway or city driving.
My CV Axles were in desperate need of replacement at 30,000 miles, with no after market modifications done to the vehicle, Discovered while modifying the vehicle. My truck was described as "condemned" by my mechanic, and this is a KNOWN ISSUE FOR MOST FORD MAVERICK OWNERS.
CV axles make a very concerning, loud noise when driving. Any small bump on the road and it sounds like the front of my truck is going to fall off. When turning, there are loud knocking and clicking sounds coming from the front end, mainly passenger side. Electrical: My radio and head unit restarts randomly, both while driving and when the vehicle is turned off with keys removed from ignition. When it restarts, I hear a popping noise from the speakers, and the screen blacks out.
