while highway driving on a 350 mile trip on several different paved surfaces including interstate highway the weather conditions were dry to torrential rain and light rain. The tires in question were hydro planing at speeds over 45 miles per hour on wet pavement and the truck was unstable unless speed was reduced. The tires were OEM on this truck and the trip occurred from 17,900 miles to 18,250 miles. There is approx 6/32 of tread remains on the tires. The tires were replaced upon return with a more suitable all season tire. The tires in question are continental pro contact tx, 225/65 r 17, 102H. They are designated all season and stamped M&S as well. These are unsafe for the reason listed above.
