1995 ford ranger xlt 3.0 v6 auto o/d trans started shifting hard with r.p.m.s over 2,500 much too high ! So next up shift and high rims I let go of gas pedal and trans shifted ok. Now Fluid level ok color ok has always changed 15,000 miles with filter. So I changed fluid-filter @ 10,400 not @the 15,000 solved the problem . The magnet in pan had a lot of metal on it so cleaned the magnet ! Have had no problems even when towing our 15 ft. Trailer!!
