The contact owns a 2000 Ford Ranger. While traveling at speeds of 65 mph, the contact began to smell an unusual burning odor. The headlights failed moments after noticing the odor. The contact stated the failure had occurred at least three times. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for further inspection of the headlight failure. The failure mileage was 81,300 and the current mileage was 81,318.

The windshield wipers failed, and the headlights cut off intermittently. The headlights would go out 40-50 seconds at a time. The consumer stated that he has experienced the same problem as recall #B00B40. The dealer stated that the recall doesn't pertain to his vehicle and they would have to diagnose the problem to determine how to assist him. Scc
