The tailgate handle broke off on the left hand side inside the tailgate assembly. I do a lot of landscaping jobs and its really a nuisance. Have to buy a tailgate handle and internal assembly but only some of the time. Cost me $300 to fix with me doing all the work so that price does not include labor if you have to take it to get it fixed. Email me if you need any more help.
