Seat belts do not retract properly on their own when unlatching them.

They become twisted and you close the doors on them.

When yu reenter the vehicle and not pay attention, the doors close on them giving a false sense of security.

With an extra 1 foot or so of seatbelt slack and you get into an accident, the seat belts will not restrain you.

Ford claims that this is normal and refused to fix them.
