AROUND 35K MILES THE REAR BRAKES STARTED SQUEALING ON MY 15 TRANSIT. I TOOK IT BACK DOWN TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE BRAKES. THE LABOUR WAS COVERED BUT I HAD TO PAY FOR SOME OF THE PARTS. WHAT'S REALLY ANNOYING ABOUT THIS, THE BRAKES WORE OUT WITHOUT ANY WARNING DIDN'T FEEL ANY PEDAL ISSUES UNTIL THEY WERE DIGGING INTO THE ROTORS, THE REAR AXLE SHAFTS HAVE TO BE REMOVED TO REPLACE THE ROTORS WHICH MEANS A VERY EXPENSIVE JOB IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN (WHICH IT DOES 15K MILES LATER WITH A CATASTROPHIC BRAKE FAILURE).. THE FRONT BRAKES HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED SINCE I BOUGHT THE VAN WITH 21K MILES, NOW HAS 54K MILES. MY GUESS, THE TRACTION CONTROL HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH EARLY BRAKE PAD WEAR ON THE REAR BRAKES ESPECIALLY THE RIGHT SIDE WHICH WORE OUT FIRST.
