Update: Along with the shifter cable lawsuit, I wanted to let other Connect owners know that if the Dealership does not or did not install these bushing correctly, this is something you can do yourself without having to go to the dealership. Bushingfix.com offers an upgraded bushing for the Connect. Although we ordered the bushing, we have not installed it because our van is NOT listed in the bulletin. Reason being is that our van has the 8 speed autotrans and the recall list just the 6 speed autotrans. Never the less, we'll keep the new bushingfix.com bushing in the van at all times just in case and will keep an eye on the current factory bushing. Do yourself a favor, avoid the dealership's mistakes and the hassle, order the bushingfix.com bushing for less than $20.00USD and install the bushing yourself. https://www.bushingfix.com/ford-transit-connect-shifter-linkage-cable-bushing-replacement-kit/
