Was having problems with the car telling me the rear hatch door was ajar. Found out the door switches were in the latches for the door. Dummy latched the door and the light went out so switches worked fine but weren't being triggered. Shut the door and looked at catch alignment and noticed one of the latches did line up perfectly even tho the door was shutting. All I did was use a crowbar to twist the catch to properly line up with the slot on the door and everything is working now after opening and closing the door several times.
I really hope this helps someone. I have woke up to 2 dead batteries in the last month and that was the final straw. We'll see if the fix lasts....keep your fingers crossed
