Windstar

Ford has put out a recall for the axle in the "salt belt" that for some reason does not cover Nebraska where I am from. However Nebraska has the same annual snow fall as many of the "salt belt" state if not more. It is absurd that Nebraska is not on that list . My axle has be being eaten away be the salt on the roads every winter. I cant afford to replace these and pretty much its a death trap waiting to happen witch Ford has admitted. Nebraska should be added to the recall list.

Windstar SEL 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,500 miles

We have a Ford Escape 2008 limited; the Windstar is like new-garage kept, polished, waxed, and not used more than 3000 miles a year for last three years;loaded Sel with more options including power front leather seats-,just a loaded vehicle. But these 2000 Windstar problems keep arising to point that it considered one of ten worse cars over last ten years.
