Windstar V6

This 2003 Ford Windstar has rust in the rear end from right to left sides in the frame, in the body. It let the rear end come apart , from the body frame. Now I'm told no one can fix this van for me. I'm handicapped, and in a wheel chair, this is a wheel chair ramp van.

I love this van. I want Ford to fix this problem. I think a Van rusting out at the mileage of 66,000 miles is a crock and this van should not ever have rusted at all. What kind of work is Ford putting out? I would not have had any problem like this if I bought a Chevy. If I did have they would have fixed this problem for me.

I'm taking this to the News team to a lot of Channels on TV to make sure I get this van fixed. I think the car lot that sold me this should go to prison for taking advantage of a man in a wheel chair. This is so stupid. Why is it that Ford will not stand behind their work?

Like I said I love this van until this happen. Please help me get this fixed. Please! I'm very upset with Ford because they keep blowing me off.

2003 and all the doors at the bottom lip are rusting. Also a spot on the lower exterior is rusting through. What a pile of junk for a 7 year old van. I also brought the van in to check rear axle and Ford grounded the vehicle as not safe to drive. Axle has major cracks and it is all rusted as well. Dealer doesn't have a clue when Ford will provide the parts. Was offered rental car for 30 days up to $30 a day. I can't rent a van for that. I said keep your rental and apply the $900 to fix all the rust on this POS.

Windstar 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,000 miles

We've been to an independent body shop. They don't do rust repair, and said it was a manufacturing problem with the quarter panels not properly sealed. We went to Ford's body shop. They estimated $900 to just fix the part that's rusting. We're going to call Ford Corp. next. Both body shops said this was not supposed to happen.

Windstar SE 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

I HAVE RUST COMING THRU THE 1/4 PANEL IN FRONT OF MY REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEEL. I ALSO HAVE RUST ALL ALONG THE INSIDE DOOR BOTTOM BETWEEN THE TWO DRAIN HOLES, ON BOTH FRONT DOORS. AFTER REALIZING THAT THERE IS A 5 YEAR CORROSION WARRANTY, I WENT TO THE FORD DEALER WHO TOLD ME HE HAS SEVERAL WINDSTARS WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT FORD IS GOING TO DO. MINE HAPPENED TO BE OUT OF WARRANTY IN MAY AND HERE IT IS JULY. WHAT GARBAGE FORD IS PUTTING OUT. MY 1996 DODGE TRUCK STILL DOES NOT HAVE ANY RUST ON IT!
