: the contact stated the vehicle had a premature failure of the fuel tank assembly. The top of the gas tank assembly rusted out causing a fuel leak which increased the probability of a fire. Updated 9/15/2006 - the consumer saw the fuel leaking from the vehicle at a rate of 1-3 drops per second. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the fuel sending unit hardware was severely rusted and corroded. The entire assembly had to be replaced.
