Driving home after picking up my 4 grandkids on November 25 2020 in the rain, the wipers of my 2015 GMC Terrain stopped working in mid air, I couldn't see anything, my car ran over a curb, and I got out and moved the wipers to clear my vision but the rain covered it back quickly. The kids were shaken but I had to keep going because the neighborhood was not a safe place to stop, so I took alley ways all the way home to avoid cars.

With prayer and stopping to move the wipers and jump back in the car to drive I made it to my home safe. I've only had the car for months but have taken it back to the dealer already for another issue. Had I known about this issue I would have NEVER bought this car, I never had a problem with my Nissan Pathfinder! I thank God that we're ok but I could be talking to a lawyer right now.

I google my issue and read over 300+ complaints for the same issue, GMC should be ashamed for this. People don't buy cars to die in, they buy them to drive. I hate this car and the scary thing about is some of the complaints said after getting their car fixed it happened again! I've never hated a car as much as I hate this car!

I was driving on the interstate and it was raining quite hard. All of sudden, the windshield wipers stopped working with no warning, while going at least 60 miles per hour. My view was compromised within a few seconds. It was hard enough to see with wipers, much less without. The shoulders were not wide enough to stop and that would've been just as dangerous. I had to stick my head out the window every so often to see what was in front of me.

This could've caused a very serious accident and it was absolutely ridiculous that it even happened.

the winshield wipers block driver's vision

It's cold and raining, to be driving at 50-60 mph and just have the blades stuck in my view till I can safely pull over is scary.

The windshield wipers when in operation block the driver's view. This is dangerous as the wipers swipe toward the drivers side. I have replaced the wipers, and still I am not satisfied with the wiper clearing. New wipers and still it does clear enough on the drivers side.

I was very dissatisfied with this problem at the beginning of the purchase of the auto. Frankly I do not feel safe driving in the rain or fog with this vehicle. I cannot see well enough on the driver side. For your information I changed the wipers at the place of purchased. I wanted to get good quality wipers, thinking it would help.

I travel 40 miles to work every day and I have had enough of this windshield problem. I am contemplating trading in my vehicle if the danger of not seeing properly doesn't get corrected.

Why do the wipers swish toward the driver side? This is a distraction and can cause an accident.
