The dealership is charging almost 12,000.00 for the following repairs for an engine that has been barely used in the last 4 years due to covid and working remotely. It is a 2014 GMC YUKON DENALI XL with 108,000 miles on in. NO ACCIDENTS - The following is what I was told is wrong with it:
4 dod active lifters, 2 lifter guides, 1 head gasket, 1 valve cover gasket, 1 exh manifold gasket, 6 bolts, intake gaskets, 2 coolant crossover tube seals, valve lifter oil manifold, left exhaust pipe to manifold seal, 6 exhaust pipe to manifold nuts, large head bolts, and small head bolts one side, 2 gall coolant, 6 oil, oil filter = $5525.93
8 regular lifters = $834.07
camshaft and repair= $3500.00
oil pressure sensor = $273.76
engine coolant lines= $747.55
LEFT engine mount broken = $810.92
Truck has never been in an accident! This is just insane! Total repair job almost $12000.00!!!!!!! No warranty and I asked if I could get a NEW engine and they are telling me there are none available when I see I can purchase a crated engine with a 5 year warranty online but no dealership wants to install it. They want to source their own. On top of the car rental feels for the last 3 weeks!
