I have been the sole owner of my Honda Fit since 2006. I started to have difficulty fitting my key into my drivers side lock and had to start unlocking my passenger door to unlock my drivers side door. In a rare event, my vehicle was backed into while parked on my drivers side. I took my vehicle in for repair and mentioned that I could no longer open my drivers side door with my key. They looked at it and explained that it "wore out" and needed to be replaced. They made it seem like this is part of "normal" vehicle care like changing the oil. I had never heard of anyone having to replace their door lock but it was replaced under the collision coverage of the other driver. Not 3 months later, my key won't even go into my "new" door lock. Once again, I have to climb into my car through the passenger side door to unlock my drivers side door. This is extremely frustrating when it's raining or snowing.
