I bought my 2012 fit sport 6 months ago. I was very happy with it until yesterday. It has a manual transmission, which I have been accustomed to driving for 20 years. I went out to move the vehicle ahead a foot or so to get to my trash cans. When I got in the car I put my foot on the clutch to start it and was just slowly easing up on the clutch to let the engine do the work of moving me forward a little. I was not even pushing on the accelerator. The car took off, I pushed on the brakes and pulled the e-brake as the car barreled into my garage. You can see the burn marks on the garage floor where the wheels kept spinning while I had the brakes on. I shut the car off. Then I realized that pieces of the garage were caving in and I could not exit the vehicle. I turned the car back on and backed out. I am currently waiting on a Honda adjuster to call and hopefully come out and see. I could have been in traffic with my children. This was very frightening. I do not wish this happening to anyone.
