Bought the vehicle new in 2005, and a year later, the windshield spontaneously cracked for the first of four times, starting on the bottom edge and working its way upward. There was no impact on any of the occasions.
This problem occurred about a year after each new windshield replacement, always starting at the margin and working its way inward. By the second time, I got tired of dumping money into this and didn’t replace for 2-3years until the crack got really bad. Otherwise I feel I would easily be on my 10th windshield by now.
