accessories - interior problem
My problem isn't just the visor, its also everything made of plastic in the car. It's as though everything but the engine and exterior is made of hard candy. So, the visor's plastic fitting at the elbow hinge snapped off on both the passenger and driver side. I was told it would cost $160 to replace each visor because Hyundai thinks me a fool. I considered valcro but I thought that might make the interior roof look shabby. So then I wedged a clothes pin behind the visor so that the pin rests close to the windshield. When I want to use the visor, I remove the pin.
If someone has an affordable and eloquent after market fix, I'm all ears. Now, about my cup holder, passenger hand grip and arm rest latch...

Recall in southern states only really ticks me off-obviously a known problem that should be covered no matter what state you live in. A defective part is a defective part.

This is bulshit ~ both of my visors stopped staying up so I have velcro holding them up.

A few days ago the cars sun visor on the drivers side fell. My dad tried to put velcro but the staples would just slide off and not hold.

This is bull sh*t situation I have three calls into the consumer affairs and they do not give a damn, it is past but the warranty but this is so common of a problem it is a joke.I will never buy a F____ Hyundai again.

Both sun visors drop down and will not stay up. They both lost the tension that keeps them up. This is obviously a defect since it happened to both of them.

The pivot arm on the driver's side visor broke and wouldn't stay up at all. My warranty was out, and Hyundai wants a rediculous (in my opinion) amount of money to replace with the same POS parts. So I super glued velcro on the visor and just above the visor to make it stay up. The passenger side is starting to fall as well, and I will do the same for that side.

I have had the visors replaced on my Sonata twice now! The first time it was covered under the warranty but now it broke again less than 1,000 miles out of the warranty so its not covered! Not only that but the stupid thing costs $100 to have fixed! $100 bucks for a piece of crap visor that will just brake in a few thousand miles. Ugh! I have found hundreds of people on multiple blogs that have had this same problem but Hyundai won't do anything about it! This is ridiculous!
