My car would not exhilarate properly. When came to a stop it would spit and sputter to even move. Could not get up to 60 mph and no less than 20 without it wanting to sound like it was going to die. Took it into a dealership to have it looked at and was told their's several recalls on my make and model and the year of my car that I need to see if there's any on mine, then I drove it home. Now my engine won't even start after it made a loud noise. I use my car for work cause it's my only transportation.
Known connecting Rod recall since 2020. Hyundai manufacturer just installed a knock sensor and erase code or recall on system. Car having acceleration issues since and been going back to the dealership and states they can-??t find any issues since the car is running and has no warning light. I demanded the connecting Rod to be repaired but dealership refused to do so. So where do we go with this recall?

Turns out the engine is defective and needs to be replaced. The car is starting at my mechanic right now and trying to figure out how to get it to Hyundai dealer so the engine can be replaced. the car is unsafe to drive right now. my son has the car.

Less than 80,000 miles on vehicle. Burning 3.5-4 quarts of oil during only half of recommended oil interval changes. Have had to two add nearly 4 additional quarts of oil during the middle of oil change intervals. Vehicle is consuming oil far greater than I have ever seen on a vehicle.

Car stalled while driving with no warning at all. No indication of a problem, no lights on, no noises from car. We coasted to the shoulder and the car would turn over and die as the rpm decreased. Had car towed to repair shop. Was informed many codes had shown and they were in reference to the engine so I needed to get it towed to a dealer. Dealer called indicated codes p0014 and p0017 came up and that I needed to have my engine replaced. Hyundai was contacted and refused to help with cost based on age of car and out of warranty. My car is it 111,000 miles. The recall was refused because the bearings were not the engine issue.

2 weeks ago, I was on the freeway and my car started sputtering while accelerating and engine light was flashing. I got it towed to a nearby mechanic. Got a diagnostic test, they found metal in my oil, my engine makes noise, etc. then I started looking into things while my car was in the shop, turns out there is a recall on the engine for that exact reason (code p1326). But by the time I called the mechanic about it he already cleared the codes. THE NEXT DAY I took it to a Hyundai dealership for the recall. Today I picked it up, they said they can-??t do anything because the code was cleared even though I had the paperwork from the last place with all the codes that were shown. They refused service and charged me $175 for the test. And said they heard no knocking noise from the engine. The minute I pulled out of the dealership, the knocking continued the whole way home. Hyundai said there was no noise when clearly there is. Now at this point they said they won-??t do anything unless my engine blows or the light flashes again. This is a HUGE safety concern that they should be taking care of.
We were driving down the road when the engine just seized without warning. When we got out of the car we noticed that there was a line of oil running down the road. The car was towed to a repair facility where it was noted that the oil plug was missing. At that time we were told that there are multiple reports of this happening with this vehicle and that it is being investigated by the NHTSA.
My 2013 Hyundai sonata caught fire yesterday after the car stalled at a red light - car is totalled - i am just hearing about this now that numerous car like mine have gone up in flames. I am devastated
Car just stopped running while driving in the morning. After lunch it wouldn't start up, nor turn over. Shop says engine is Seized. which sounds just like the other Sonata's issues, but my car says it doesn't have a engine recall on
I have been contacting Hyundai since before November 2022 on an issue with the engine. At this point, the engine was spuddering, hard to acclerate, lags, shuts off yet no warning lights were on. I was told about the engine recall which is why I went there. Set an appt and when I got in, he said it does not SOUND like a rod knock and sent me home even though there is an active recall on the car that is IMPORTANT to fix, the fuel line. He did not care to fix that. I wrote Hyundai and they sent me another dealer and that was that. No cares in the world at how we were treated. Its been now 3 months and the car has been sitting because Hyundai refuses to help. The car only has 105,000 miles on a 2013. I have a case manager assigned that is avoiding my calls and finance company yelling at me for maintenance receipts of the car. Maintenance receipts are not listed anywhere. I have barely had the car a year! The fact that they sent my family home in an unsafe car is not cool! Then on my travels, the car starts knocking loudly and the check engine AND oil light both come on but the check engine light was flashing. NOONE IS HELPING US. My fiance lost his job because we had to rely on uber or lyft for him to get to work and he was late a few times due to those services not being reliable. There is a recall on the engine with the same specifications that I am having AND an OPEN recall for the very very hazardous fuel line on the car to be replaced. I am tired of the run around. I need help! I have seen the numerous complaints on this car so why is it so hard to get help? When I start my car it sounds like a helicopter but with metal, not air so LOUD and is a rod knock. Another call to the case manager made today and again ignored. I cannot post a video
Steering in my vehicle has been very sloppy and hard to keep in a straight line. The engine just went out on me a few days ago and almost caused a wreck due to the car almost dying on the freeway.

First off there was no lights on other than the low tire pressure symbol that shows up, so I decided to go have my tire replaced, got it done, I drove off after having a tire replaced and within a minute or 2 of being back on the road my car just shuts off. I pulls over to see or access the car, don-??t know what happened. I ended up having to have the car towed home.

My engine in my 2013 Sonata GLS has been consuming outrageous amounts between my oil changes no oil change lights has ever come on NOT ONCE. I-??m just driving with no oil the only reason I checked because I heard rattling sound. This occurred 5000 miles before the next oil change was due. The past 3 oil changes this has happened and I-??m thinking the dealership not adding oil and they say they are and I say why am I always out of oil. I purchase the car in 2014 NEW although it-??s a 2013 I-??m the only owner it had 16 miles on it then CURRENTLY has just under 120k so I don-??t drive it much.
