Last night my car would not start. This has been happening intermittently for a month. Replaced the battery. Dealer doesn't know what the problem is and can't fix it until it happens again. But the thing is I just don't know when it is not going start. Most times it starts on the first try, other times it can take up to 10 trys to start it. There is no noise, just the lights on the dash go on but the car doesn't start.

Full disclosure - this is my 3rd Hyundai and they have always been very reliable. Just wish someone could tell me what to fix to put this behind me. I'm kind of fearful of what could happen if I get stranded somewhere. Thank god for 3As and cell phones.

Update from Dec 21, 2016: The problem was a faulty neutral safety switch. The part cost $32.95. I also needed a new battery. Just want to say thanks to Mr. Nichols, Automotive Technology instructor at Berks Career & Technology Center. I sent him a video of trying to start the car and he researched the issue and fixed the problem. If you have a black switch it needs to be replaced with a sliver switch. Hope this information helps - it is so stressful (and not safe) not knowing if your car is going to start.

Out of the clear blue, I get into my car, and press the engine button. NOTHING - No Power. Everything dead as a door nail. Had to tow car in. They found nothing, because its intermittent. Its probably something to do with the responder??
