Drove approx. 15 miles with no problem. Parked car for 30 mins while shopping. Came out started car and loud noise. Got out looked under car and sure enough muffler was hanging. Drove to gas station around corner and had car towed to dealership. Now for the good part. Mechanic at dealership tried to put car in bay, backed up my car and the muffler got caught in something in bay entrance. Now the whole exhaust is hanging down. Gets better....not only did the whole exhaust come down, he also managed to tear off my rear bumper on the passenger side. This all took place as I am sitting with service adviser doing the paper work. Service advisor witnessed the whole thing along with another mechanic who picked the exhaust up from my car and walked in opposite direction of the service bay. my guess, they didn't want me to see it. First of all, how/why does a muffler fall off a car with less than 20,000 miles. My son was driving his father's 2000 Honda crv up until August of 2016 and the muffler on that car was only replaced twice in 16 years. I am pretty sure this will be my last Hyundai. Before my Tucson had a 2008 Sonata which I brought in to dealership for service recalls. They did recall work, did their multipoint inspection and off I went. Two miles down the road the engine seized and it was back at dealership and car was there for 3 months while they replaced the engine. Granted I had a loaner car but it was still an inconvenience for me. Here it is Thursday and my car has been in shop since Monday. I might get it back by the w/e. Really???? Now I have a rental which the dealership is paying for, but once again, it isn't my car. I am now driving a mini-van when I am making payments for a SUV. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not a happy Hyundai customer.
