Around 65000 miles, the car started having problems while fueling. The tank acts as if it's full. Takes about 15 minutes to fill the tank.

A couple of months ago my Jeep Compass developed a problem taking fuel. Whenever I would try to fill up, the fuel would try to come back out or shut off the gas station nozzle. It would take forever just to put $10 in the tank and it would never go above 3/4 of a tank. Shortly after that, my check engine light came on. I forget the code, but it pointed to a bad catalytic converter. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the exhaust manifold, converter, etc. all under warranty. I told them about the fuel problem and they checked the EVAP system and determined it was a sticky check valve in the fuel tank. Warranty would not cover replacing the tank so they just cleaned the valve. It worked fine for two more fill ups, but is now sticking again.

I've only had this Jeep for a year and have put $1,500 worth of repairs into it. I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars to replace a fuel tank when this seems to be a widespread Chrysler issue! This is by far the worst vehicle I've ever owned and will never buy another Chrysler product, since it's clear they do not stand by what they make.
