-The front subframe of the vehicle is rusted out. They never offered a recall only a service advisement(thus not informing owners of the potential issue). My subframe was found to be rusted out in a yearly state inspection but is 2 months past their extended warranty date. Therefore they deny financial responsibility to replace the part. -Driving with a rusted out subframe can cause the vehicle to loose control and crash. -The problem is acknowledged by the dealers but they refuse to issue a recall to alert everyone to the problem, therefore allowing the vehicles to go beyond the extended warranty timeframe then refuse to pay for the repairs. -The vehicle has been inspected by a licensed mechanic and issues have been documented. -There were no warning signs or issues prior to the inspection which found the corroded piece.

I have had constant problems already reported with this vehicle. The transmission overheats and dies on me or gets sluggish on the highway traffic. Today it completely died on me. After pulling over giving a minute it started back up. Jeep should be ashamed of themselves. So many ppl are reporting this same issue. They need to recall these cheap poorly made transmisdionscthat they already no are faulty. This is the 100th time this vehicle does this while in traffic im terrified to drive to work and have to leave hours early because of this

My Jeep has start to put off the smell of rotten eggs. I believe that the catalyst converter has some kind off issue. There are fumes coming out of my car and in my car. I believe it is a result of a bad catalyst converter. Engine light has been coming on after I have changed the sensors. There is no way the catalyst should be bad. I read there are issues with this model vehicles catalyst converter. This has been on going for over a year and a half and I have been replacing parts spending money that are not fixing the problem

I bought the vehicle about 3 years ago and about one month into the purchase, the engine light has been steady on and off for the last 3 years. We have brought it to a dealer, we have had the vehicle pass inspections, once the car is reset the engine light goes off. The code that has consistently come up is the catalytic converter, which we were told numerous occasions that it's just a glitch. Now, the light will not go off after a reset and are being told that we need to replace the whole catalytic converter (which I can not afford) and don't even know if it's a true issue being since the engine light constantly being on since the purchase of the vehicle and now won't go off at all. I'm wondering why this car/VIN hasn't showed up on the recall list with the others with the catalytic converter recalls!!!"??"

Car comepletely shut down, and went limp while driving 65 mph on highway. Car would not go over 10 mph, power steering failed, and check engine light began flashing.very dangerous as car shuts off without warning at high speeds. Power steering came back on and check engine light was no longer flashing. Had it towed; upon arrival, car turned back on again with no issues or check engine light. Check engine came back on later in the day. This seems to be a recurring issue. Mechanic was unsure if it had something to do with a sensor or crankshaft issue.

The driver's side left footrest support broke off and became loose underfoot while driving on a highway. It became lodged under the brake pedal and I could not depress the brake pedal. Eventually was able to use my foot to clear it away and stop.

Good afternoon, I am wondering if there is a recall on the transmission. Whenever I drive 2 hours straight my transmission over heats and shuts down. I do not tow or live in the mountains. I have took this truck to the shop numerous times because of safety issues. When it shuts down on the high way. Its putting my life and kids in jeopardy. The Jeep shop and others shops and they said they can not diagnosis the problem. I need this to be corrected. Please let me know what I can do to get this corrected.

"important safety recall" issued September 2016. As of February 17,2017-- 5 months later no repair is available. I am terrified to drive my vehicle with my child in it knowing there is a safety issue that puts us both at risk and seemingly no rush is being made to correct the problem in a timely fashion.

Driving on the turnpike 11/10/2016 at 530am nearing ext. 6 my truck shut off, I made it to the car shop and they stated it was the sensors. I proceeded to call the Jeep dealer and they stated senors are not covered in any warranty and that my extended warranty does cover it as well. Im very disappointed in the pointless purchase of my warranty, and the fact that I could have been killed on the turnpike. Also my truck makes this loud squeaking noise but I have taken it to 3 shops and no one knows what it is, but they all agreed it is not the brakes.

When traveling to a wedding from denver to ft. Collins, the transmission warning light came on and began to lose speed. I pulled over and let sit for about 10-15 minutes, turned it back on and continued my drive. This is the second time that it has happened and it seems to do it more on long trips and hot days. It's very annoying, especially when trying to get somewhere. Is there a recall on this car or is this something that we have to deal with? it appears there is no correction to the problem, so do I just have to live with the fact that I bought a "lemon"! very frustrating.

Our Jeep's tail pipe, primarily due to its excessively short length, became tucked, by regular vehicle use, under the Jeep's bumper and forced hot exhaust fumes to melt through the bumper. We observed signs of charring and melting of the Jeep's exterior bumper body caused by this too short exhaust pipe design defect resulting in an obvious fire danger.

This has happened a few times now. Was told by dealer they have to be driving it when the problem occurs. Twice now, I lost all electrical power. No lights, no hazards, no power steering. It is like I have no battery at all. Everything is dead. One time I was parked, and lost all power, came back on in a few minutes. The second time, it was dark out. I had just made a turn, aprox 100 feet after, I lost all power again. This time I was in motion, cars behind me, I had absolutely no lights. No hazards. I wasn't even able to make it to the shoulder, it happened so quickly. Luckily it was a turn and vehicles hadn't reached the speed limit yet. Not only could I have been hit, but the other vehicles behind me as well. My car wasn't easily noticable. The car behind me was able to stop in time before rear ending me, and turned their hazards on. The power to my vehicle was back on about two minutes. Periodically the car will also just die, at idle or in traffic at low speeds. It doesn't lose complete power when this happens though. It will start again right away.
