My problem started about 6 months ago, it was small squeak. I took it to the dealership, I was told it was my tires and that once I replaced them it would go away. Well my tires have been replaced and the noise is full blown ridiculous for a 2012 car, it sounds like a 1995 rust bucket pick up....
I recently took it to my mechanic, he says both bushing are rust through...he could not believe it. Said you would expect to see that in a car 10 years old, not a 2012. Check with dealership to see if this is covered if not I am looking at $600 to repair, not happy. Owned a Grand Cherokee before, loved the car, will never buy another Compass again. Have not been happy with the performance at all.
